Explore CopenHill's marked walking route and rooftop during the operator's public opening hours.
Experience the building on foot
CopenHill’s walking route offers a way to experience the recreational surface of a working waste-to-energy plant. Give the ascent and rooftop time in their own right rather than treating the visit as preparation for skiing.
Walking and rooftop access are free during the published public opening hours. The operator also provides free lift access, although that does not establish step-free access to every route or facility.
Choose the right access
Use the marked pedestrian route and follow staff instructions. Consult the operator about lift operation and individual access requirements before relying on a particular way up or down.
Walking, rooftop access and skiing can have different schedules. Events, private bookings or work at the power plant may change public access, so check the current opening information for your chosen day.
Keep the experience distinct
This is a free, self-guided walking activity. It does not include skiing, equipment hire, instruction or a guided industrial tour. Those are separate experiences with their own conditions.
No duration is prescribed; choose your pace and the amount of time you want to spend looking from the rooftop.
