Ålesund Airport, Vigra

Ålesund Airport is on Vigra, with road connections through the islands to Ålesund. It is a useful gateway to the city and the coastal part of Sunnmøre, with onward journeys to fjord and mountain destinations requiring additional planning.

Airport buses serve Ålesund and Moa, and a separate connection links the airport with the express-boat quay at Valderøya for Hareid. Taxis and rental cars are available. Check both legs of a bus-and-boat journey, particularly when continuing beyond the main towns.
