Mosjøen Airport at Kjærstad is south of Mosjøen and serves the Vefsn valley and nearby inland Helgeland. It gives access to Mosjøen's riverside townscape and outdoor destinations reached through the inland road network.
The airport lists rental-car providers; reserve collection or arrange a transfer before arrival. Journeys to the Helgeland islands require additional road and boat travel, so do not assume that a coastal destination is close simply because it is at a similar latitude. Sandnessjøen and Brønnøysund serve different coastal areas.
