Vardø Airport is at Svartnes on the mainland side of the tunnel to Vardø. It provides regional air access to the town and the eastern end of the Varanger Peninsula, useful for coastal and birdwatching visits.
Reserve a transfer or rental car before arrival and confirm where your accommodation is located. Exploring farther along the Varanger coast requires a separate road journey, and seasonal routes or weather can affect plans. Vadsø has another airport farther west on the peninsula.
