Kullens fyr
Kullens fyr
Overview
Kullens fyr is the lighthouse at the western tip of Kullaberg, high above the Kattegat. It is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the reserve and a natural goal for first-time visitors, photographers, walkers, and anyone using the western trail network.
The lighthouse area is not just a single viewpoint. It sits beside cliffs, coastal paths, the naturum visitor center, parking, and exposed sea views, so it often becomes the practical hub for a Kullaberg visit.
Why Go
Go for the wide sea views, the sense of reaching the end of the peninsula, and easy access to several nearby trails and viewpoints. On clear days the lighthouse area gives a strong orientation to Kullaberg's cliffs, coves, and open water.
Good To Know
The area can be windy and busy in good weather. Parking and paths near the lighthouse may fill during peak periods, and cliff edges require care. Treat it as an outdoor viewpoint rather than a fully sheltered attraction.
Practical information for Kullens fyr
Access
Kullens fyr is reached from the western end of Kullaberg, usually by road, parking, and a short walk, or as part of a longer hike through the reserve. The lighthouse area is close to naturum Kullaberg, making the two stops easy to combine.
Planning Notes
Wear shoes suitable for uneven outdoor paths, even if you are only visiting the immediate lighthouse area. Wind, rain, and wet rock can make short walks feel more exposed than expected.
Cautions
Stay back from cliff edges and keep children close. If you are continuing onto longer trails, carry water and check your route before leaving the main visitor area.
