Umeå Airport is close to Umeå, providing access to the university city, its cultural attractions and the coastal and river landscapes of southern Västerbotten. It is a practical arrival point for Umeå itself and for onward regional travel inland or along the coast.

The local airport bus stops outside the terminal and connects with the city. Taxis and rental cars are also available. Travelers continuing by train, regional bus or ferry should check the separate connection and its departure location, rather than treating the airport and other transport terminals as a single interchange.
