Esbjerg Airport
Esbjerg Airport (EBJ) is located northeast of Esbjerg and serves the southwest of Jutland. It is a regional airport with a strong connection to the North Sea energy industry, but its passenger flights can also be useful for visitors to Esbjerg and the surrounding west-coast area.
The airport's traffic includes offshore helicopter operations as well as fixed-wing passenger services. These are different kinds of travel: offshore departures are not ordinary tourist flights. A scheduled connection with Aberdeen provides one passenger route into the region; check the current flight programme and operating days when planning a visit.
Car hire and other onward travel arrangements make it possible to continue from the airport to Esbjerg or accommodation elsewhere in southwest Jutland. If your trip includes a ferry, a rural holiday home or several coastal stops, plan those connections separately. Esbjerg is a smaller specialist airport, so compare its available passenger flights with Billund if your dates or point of departure are flexible.
