Sønderborg Airport

Sønderborg Airport (SGD) lies north of Sønderborg on the island of Als. It serves southern Jutland and the Danish–German border region, making it useful for visitors staying in Sønderborg, elsewhere on Als or in the surrounding South Jutland area.

The airport has a scheduled connection with Copenhagen and a changing selection of seasonal and holiday flights. Its smaller scale makes it a regional arrival and departure point rather than a large transfer hub. Check the current programme for any leisure route, as destinations and operating periods can change.

Onward options include car hire, taxi services and a bus connection with Sønderborg coordinated with selected flights. Visitors staying outside the city should plan the complete transfer to their accommodation. For a trip continuing into Germany, check the arrangements for any cross-border rental car or transfer when booking. The airport can be a practical option for the border region even when the final destination is not Sønderborg itself.
