Kuopio Airport is at Rissala near Siilinjärvi, north of Kuopio. It serves northern Savo and is useful for visits to Kuopio, surrounding lake destinations and onward trips toward the region's holiday resorts.
Check the ground connection for your flight and reserve a taxi, rental car or accommodation transfer when needed. The airport is outside central Kuopio, so rail and regional-bus journeys require a separate transfer. For a cottage or resort stay, confirm the actual road distance and pickup arrangements before arrival.
