Bodø stasjon is the northern terminus of Nordlandsbanen, with trains linking Bodø and Trondheim through Nordland. The station is a useful arrival point for the city and for travelers continuing by road or sea. Local buses and taxis provide onward connections from the station area.

Ferries and coastal ships use their own departure points, so check the correct terminal and leave time between train arrival and boarding. There is no continuous railway from Bodø to Narvik; that journey requires another form of transport. Check the station's waiting-room hours for late arrivals and confirm any replacement buses before setting out.
